Fundación Caja de Arquitectos has made public the results of the survey on-line IV students of Spanish Schools of Architecture 2008.

The survey provides among others the following interesting facts:

• "Feminization" of the profession, like other traditionally male-dominated, but in this case the proportion of women increases much faster.
• Only a minority of students have a family architect.
• They believe that architecture is a social activity first, second creative and artistic.
• They admire Herzog & de Meuron, Alvaro Siza and Rem Koolhaas (OMA * AMO), between the Spanish, include Rafael Moneo and Mansilla + Tuñón. In order of mention: 1. Herzog & de Meuron, 2. • The lack of work experience is still regarded as the greatest shortcomings of the race.
• Nearly half of students say they have a high level of English.
• More and more are reported through Internet portals and blogs also are considered a good source of information, the pages most commonly mentioned for finding information are in this order: 1. • Over 92 percent believe they will have problems employability.
• More than 4 in 10 is raised to practice abroad after the race.
• They care less about building something, and rather more for the rehabilitation and restoration.
• Almost all participants (84.3 percent) agree that there should be a compulsory period of professional practice.
